"The guidebook suggests that we visit the local cathedral,

                   which is apparently beautiful."
4.Suggest as a verb (obsolete, transitive):

To seduce; to prompt to evil; to tempt.

Suggest is also used to distinguish between a recommendation and
an order. "I suggest you do this" has a different tone to "Do this." So-

metimes an intensifier is used to convey that what is formally only a
suggestion is actually a command "I strongly suggest you [x]..."
Propose is the most formal. You propose to your girlfriend that the

pair of you get married; it's unlikely that you would suggest the same
thing. The best working definition of propose I can think of is "to ma-
ke a formal submission for appraisal." This is why researches wri-

te proposals for research funding and not suggestions.
                   7. minimum

            /ˈmɪnɪməm/

            noun

the least or smallest amount or quantity possible, attainable, or

                   required.
                   "keep costs to a minimum"

                   8. wage pay salary compensation

Compensation describes the cash rewards paid to employees

in exchange for the services they provide. It may include
base salary, wages, incentives and/or commission. Total com-
pensation includes cash rewards as well as any other compa-
                   ny benefits.

                   9. In mathematics, the maximum and minimum of a function
are the largest and smallest value that the function takes at a

given point. ... You can do more than the minimum, but no
less. Maximum means the most you can have of something.
