CREATIVE CURRICULUM
Gulliver Prep students have a natural inclination for wonder. Creative Curriculum® is a comprehensive curriculum that is used in PK and JK which features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Through hands-
on, project-based investigations, teachers build children’s confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
TEACHERS COLLEGE READING AND WRITING WORKSHOP
In SK, through fourth grade, Gulliver
Prep has adopted the Reading Workshop from Columbia University’s Teachers College Reading and Writing Project.
The workshop’s mission is to help
children become avid and skilled readers by directly teaching the foundational strategies and supporting growth through guided practice and conferring. Developed using state-of-the-art tools and methods for teaching reading and writing, there are performance assessments and learning progressions to accelerate progress, and for literacy rich content-area instruction.
