 The Forest
I ran through the forest while the wind blows
My hair was fluttering while I ran
I heard the little crickets chirping while the sun went down “This place is not safe for you,” everyone said
Did I listen...
No way
I woke up all the animals gathered around
All I saw were
Frogs, snakes, foxes, deer, bears, birds, and racoons I felt like Mowgli from The Jungle Book
The beautiful tall trees
Their bark flaking to the ground
I heard the splash of the river nearby
I smelled the sweet honeysuckle
I heard the mockingbirds singing from far away
I felt my feet sink into the squishy soil beneath my feet Like the sand on a beach
I felt the mosquitos dancing across my skin
I just love the soothing sounds and elements of the forest.

 Levitating Sunrise
As branches on trees sway in the wind,
The golden sun rises up to bring light to the
darkness of morning
The blue ocean crispening in color,
At the sight of the golden yellow sun,
Birds are soaring in the sky above the snowy
white clouds.
Sea life swimming in the crystal-clear water Shining by the shimmering light of the
levitating sunrise.
Emma Harari, Grade 5
 Fall
The crisp air dances
around the trees as the wind chases the leaves playing an endless game of tag.
So agile
as the wind slips through small cracks, escaping the outside air.
The leaves look
as if they were dipped in a bucket of colorful paint.
So fragile
they break with one step. The crackling sound they make reminds everyone it is fall.
