New Kid
New kid,
the kid who always is shy in school The kid
who is one of smartest in the class The kid
who makes new friends
but gets annoyed by them.
The kid
who makes another friend which he likes,
but his other friend makes the worst decisions
And makes your heart beat faster than usual.
The kid
Who is talented but doesn’t want to show it.
The kid.
In my mind, I think this is what it's like to be a New kid...
Well... in this case ... this New Kid is different. -Rocket Williams, Grade 6
Trees
Trees are our lives.
We need them to live.
Literally.
We need them to breathe. Which means
We rely on trees.
They are our death and our birth- Our source of life.
Our everything.
Trees sway in the wind, Slowly, steadily.
Still on their hill,
Quiet trees look down at you. They swing through the blue.
And I shall never see,
a poem as lovely as a tree.

The Beginning by Lucas Bueres 6th Grade
In the beginning, there were two gods. These gods were the god of creation and the god of destruction. The god of creation made stars, while the god of destruction destroyed them. New elements were made in the universe. Soon there would be planets with creatures on them and galaxies with different solar systems. There was peace and prosperity. Until the planet called Earth was created. The god of creation made this planet special, so it would harbor life unlike the other planets like Mars or Mercury. Since the god of destruction had been responsible for black holes, hurricanes, tornadoes, solar flares, and quasars, he wanted to take control of the Earth since it was the only planet that had not been destroyed by him.
The god of destruction didn’t know how to take control of the planet while the god of creation was watching over it until he found out about what the god of creation called humans. They were intelligent creatures that were capable of terraforming the landscapes. The god of destruction took control and manipulated humans to destroy the environment. The humans made innovations to make their lives better, but they didn’t look at the environment. The animals were hunted, and the planet was getting destroyed. This is exactly what the god of destruction wanted. Humans were destroying the planet for him. The god of creation didn’t know what was happening because she was busy watching another planet in a different galaxy.
The humans fought each other and made places worse than what the god of destruction could do. When the god of creation came back, the world was almost gone. But the humans realized that too. They tried to fix what they had done, but they could not do that by themselves. So, the god of creation helped them. The humans started making things more efficient and less pollutive, but the gases stayed. The god of creation helped by releasing some of the gases in the atmosphere, but the heat stayed. The globe stayed warming. The storms got worse and the planet was destroying itself.
The only way to heal the planet was to somehow cool Earth. The humans tried to figure that out, but they couldn’t find any ideas. The planet was doomed. The oceans were rising, the storms were being destroyed, and the world was heating. There was nothing they could do about it. All the animals and ecosystems the god of creation made would all be
