 Life
You grow grow for 9 months in pure darkness Erupting into this new land
Colors flowing through the air
Becoming more intelligent piece by piece Achieving your goal of becoming a genius
Move out
Finally, on your own
Living it how you want to
Got a partner to help you When it gets tough
Little fingers
Watching them grow
Help them out to succeed Moving onto the next chapter
From lofty to short
You start to decrease in size With gray on your head Wrinkles on your face
Parents pass away
Some friends too
Educate your children
For your book comes to an end Take care of your story
As it can end
As fast as a flash
-Alejandro Frias, Grade 6
 Floating Sunset
Delicate petals
Seeds reaching for the sunlight Color burst of life
Light and dark at once
Floating slowly through the sky Feeling the sunshine
Colors combining
Blushing pink blossoms
Petals soar through the blue sky The light and dark all at once
I can see it set
As the
Sand scatters the beach
And
Waves crash on the sandy shore The blue ocean shines
-Tate Krawiecki-Gazes, Grade 6
Blue Ribbon
 A Day at the Lake
A sunny day at the lake, Flowers bright, popping colors. Butterflies
as beautiful as
A bride on her wedding day.
A calm morning at the lake.
The smell of Jasmine flowers.
A smell that dissolves your worries. An apple tree in the orchard,
In a place as nice as home.
A calm afternoon at the lake.
The bright colors of leaves on a tree, The delicious taste of a family dinner. The dreams you will have tonight, The dreams that will come true.
A calm evening at the lake. -Sophia Harari, Grade 6
  Ana Corina Garcia, Grade 7
