The Raider Voice online news site received a National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) First Class rating; School Newspapers Online (SNO) Distinguished Site Badge for Site Excellence; Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) Gold Medalist recognition; and a Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) Gold rating.
The Upper School’s 2019 edition of The Raider yearbook received
CSPA Gold Medalist recognition; NSPA All American with Four Marks of Distinction; FSPA All Florida; and the FSPA Sunshine Standout Award (Best of the Best).
The Middle School’s 2019 edition of The Raider yearbook earned CSPA Gold Medalist recognition; an NSPA First Class rating; FSPA All-Florida with Special Distinctions in Reader Services, Concept, Writing and Photography, with an additional Mark of Distinction in Coverage.
2019-20 Year in Review
The 2019 edition of the Upper School’s Literary Magazine, Reflections, earned CSPA Gold Medalist recognition with All-Columbian honors in Verbal and Design; NSPA All American; FSPA All-Florida with Special Distinctions in Writing and Design; a CSPA Silver Crown; a Superior Rating in the National Council of Teachers of English REALM contest; and sixth place in the Best in Show category at the NSPA Convention (only 10 awarded from over 600 entries).
The 2020 edition of the Middle School’s Literary Magazine, The Muse, featured several award-winning selections from the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair’s writing competitions:
• 27 Creative Writing blue ribbons for poetry
• 1 World Language blue ribbon for poetry
• 16 Creative Writing blue ribbons for short stories
• 1 World Language blue ribbon for short stories
• 2 Creative Writing Judges’ Awards for poetry
• 2 Creative Writing Judges’ Awards for short stories
