Barreira do Vasco.
From the Architectural Project 3 course, it was
decided to incorporate the experience of this
workshop as a semester-long project.
The team that traveled to Rio was composed of
professors and collaborators of the Chair.
The main objective was to carry out a
photographic and graphic survey of the
intervention site, in order to transmit it to the
group of students.
The main objective was to develop a set of
urban-architectural explorations related to
housing in Brazil, focusing on the importance of
public space as a collective heritage.
The explorations were developed according to
the following parameters:
* Housing for the lower wage band: buildings on
the ground floor plus 3 or 4 upper floors - no
elevator. Units between 37 and 42 m2,
projected within the parameters of the public
programs for popular housing: "Minha Casa,
Minha Vida" and "Morar Carioca".
* Housing for the average and greater wage
band in high density housing -with elevator-.
Units up to 70 m2.
