Psalms 9:5                                     425                                    Psalms 12:2

               maintained my right and my cause: thou art set is mischiefe and iniquitie.     8  He lieth in waite
               in the throne, and iudgest right.   5  Thou hast in the villages: in the secret places doeth hee
               rebuked the heathen: thou hast destroyed the murder the innocent: his eyes are bent against
               wicked: thou hast put out their name for euer the poore.      9  He lyeth in waite secretly, euen as
               and euer. O enemie, destructions are come to a a lyon in his denne: he lyeth in waite to spoyle

               perpetual end, and thou hast destroyed the cities:  the poore: he doeth spoyle the poore, when he
               their memoriall is perished with them.     7  But  draweth him into his net.  10 He croucheth and
               the Lord shall sit for euer: hee hath prepared boweth: therefore heaps of the poore doe fall
               his throne for iudgement.   8  For he shall iudge by his might.  11  He hath said in his heart, God
               the worlde in righteousnes, and shall iudge the hath forgotten, he hideth away his face, and will
               people with equitie.   9  The Lord also wil be a neuer see.   12  Arise, O Lord God: lift vp thine
               refuge for the poore, a refuge in due time, euen hande: forget not the poore.  13  Wherefore doeth
               in affliction.  10  And they that know thy Name, the wicked contemne God? he saith in his heart,
               will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed  Thou wilt not regard.  14  Yet thou hast seene
               them that seeke thee.  11 Sing praises to the Lord, it: for thou beholdest mischiefe and wrong, that
               which dwelleth in Zion: shewe the people his thou mayest take it into thine handes: the poore
               workes.   12  For whe he maketh inquisition for committeth himselfe vnto thee: for thou art the
               blood, hee remembreth it, and forgetteth not the helper of the fatherlesse.   15  Breake thou the
               complaint of the poore.    13  Haue mercie vpon arme of the wicked and malicious: searche his
               mee, O Lord: consider my trouble which I suffer   wickednes, and thou shalt finde none.    16  The
               of them that hate mee, thou that liftest me vp    Lord is King for euer and euer: the heathen are

               from the gates of death,  14 That I may shewe all  destroyed foorth of his land.  Lord, thou hast
               thy praises within the gates of the daughter of   heard the desire of the poore: thou preparest

               turne into hell, and all nations that forget God. to my soule, Flee to your mountaine as a birde?
               18  For the poore shall not bee alway forgotten:  2 For loe, the wicked bende their bowe, and make
               the hope of the afflicted shall not perish for euer. readie their arrowes vpon the string, that they
               19 Vp Lord: let not man preuaile: let the heathen may secretly shoote at them, which are vpright in

               be iudged in thy sight.  20  Put them in feare, O heart. For the foundations are cast downe: what

               Lord, that the heathen may knowe that they are    hath the righteous done? The Lord is in his holy
               but men. Selah.                                   palace: the Lordes throne is in the heauen: his
                                                                 eyes wil consider: his eye lids will try the children

                  1  Why standest thou farre off, O Lord, and    the wicked and him that loueth iniquitie, doeth
