Ezekiel 33:13                                   625                                   Ezekiel 34:8

               wicked shall cause him to fall therein, in the day beasts to be deuoured: and they that be in the
               that he returneth from his wickednesse, neither forts and in the caues, shall die of the pestilence.
               shall the righteous liue for his righteousnesse   28 For I will lay the land desolate and waste, and
               in the day that he sinneth.  13  When I shall say  the pompe of her strength shall cease: and the
               vnto the righteous, that he shall surely liue, if  moutaines of Israel shalbe desolate, and none
               he trust to his owne righteousnes, and commit shall passe through.    29 Then shall they know that
               iniquitie, all his righteousnes shall be no more I am the Lord, when I haue laid ye land desolate
               remembred, but for his iniquitie that he hath and wast, because of al their abominations, that
               committed, he shall die for the same.  14  Againe  they haue committed.  30 Also thou sonne of man,
               when I shall say vnto the wicked, thou shalt      the children of thy people that talke of thee by
               die the death, if he turne from his sinne, and    the wals and in the dores of houses, and speake
               doe that which is lawfull and right,  15  To wit, if one to another, euery one to his brother, saying,
               the wicked restore the pledge, and giue againe Come, I pray you, and heare what is the word
               that he had robbed, and walke in the statutes of that commeth from the Lord.     31  For they come
               life, without committing iniquitie, he shall surely  vnto thee, as the people vseth to come: and my
               liue, and not die.   16  None of his sinnes that  people sit before thee, and heare thy wordes, but
               he hath comitted, shall be mentioned vnto him:    they will not doe them: for with their mouthes
               because he hath done that, which is lawful, and
               right, he shall surely liue.  17 Yet the children of  they make iestes, and their heart goeth after
               thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equall:  their couetousnesse.  32  And loe, thou art vnto
               but their owne way is vnequall.    18  When the   them, as a iesting song of one that hath a pleasant
               righteous turneth from his righteousnesse, and    voyce, and can sing well: for they heare thy

               committeth iniquitie, he shall euen die thereby.
               19 But if the wicked returne from his wickednesse,  this commeth to passe (for loe, it will come) then
               and doe that which is lawfull and right, hee shall  shall they know, that a Prophet hath bene among
               liue thereby.  20  Yet yee say, The way of the Lord  them.
               is not equall. O ye house of Israel, I will iudge you                   34
               euery one after his waies.  21  Also in the twelfth  1 And the word of the Lord came vnto me, say-
               yere of our captiuitie, in the tenth moneth, and in  ing, Sonne of man, prophesie against the shep-

               out of Ierusalem, came vnto me, and said, The     Thus saieth the Lord God vnto the shepherds,
               citie is smitten.  22 Now the hand of the Lord had

               escaped, came, and had opened my mouth vntill     them selues: should not the shepherds feede the

               23  Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me,    feede not the sheepe.  4  The weake haue ye not
               and saide,  24  Sonne of man, these that dwel in  strengthened: the sicke haue ye not healed, nei-
               the desolate places of the land of Israel, talke and  ther haue ye bounde vp the broken, nor brought
               say, Abraham was but one, and hee possessed       againe that which was driuen away, neither haue
               the lande: but we are many, therefore the lande   yee sought that which was lost, but with crueltie,

               shall be giuen vs in possession.  25  Wherefore say  and with rigour haue yee ruled them. And they
               vnto them, Thus saieth the Lord God, Ye eate      were scattered without a shepherde: and when
               with the blood, and lift vp your eyes towarde they were dispersed, they were deuoured of all
               your idoles, and sheade blood: should ye then the beastes of the fielde.    6  My sheepe wandred
               possesse the land?  26 Ye leane vpon your swordes: through all the mountaines, and vpon euery hie
               ye worke abomination, and yee defile euery one hill: yea, my flocke was scattered through al
               his neighbours wife: should ye then possesse the the earth, and none did seeke or search after
               land?   27  Say thus vnto them, Thus saieth the   them.  7  Therefore ye shepherds, heare the wo-
               Lord God, As I liue, so surely they that are in   orde of the Lord.   8  As I liue, sayeth the Lord
               the desolate places, shall fall by the sword: and  God, surely because my flocke was spoyled, and
               him that is in the open field, will I giue vnto the  my sheepe were deuoured of all the beasts of
