Matthew 6:18 697 Matthew 7:23

anoint thine head, and wash thy face, 18 That with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured
thou seeme not vnto men to fast, but vnto thy to you againe. 3 And why seest thou the mote,
Father which is in secret: and thy Father which that is in thy brothers eye, and perceiuest not
seeth in secret, will rewarde thee openly. 19 Lay the beame that is in thine owne eye? 4 Or howe
not vp treasures for your selues vpon the earth, sayest thou to thy brother, Suffer me to cast
where the mothe and canker corrupt, and where out the mote out of thine eye, and beholde, a
theeues digge through and steale. 20 But lay beame is in thine owne eye? 5 Hypocrite, first
vp treasures for your selues in heauen, where cast out that beame out of thine owne eye, and
neither the mothe nor canker corrupteth, and then shalt thou see clearely to cast out the mote
where theeues neither digge through, nor steale. out of thy brothers eye. 6 Giue ye not that
21 For where your treasure is, there will your which is holy, to dogges, neither cast ye your
heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the pearles before swine, lest they treade them vnder
eye: if then thine eye be single, thy whole body their feete, and turning againe, all to rent you.
shall be light. 23 But if thine eye be wicked, 7 Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and
then all thy body shalbe darke. Wherefore if the ye shall finde: knocke, and it shall be opened
light that is in thee, be darkenes, howe great vnto you. 8 For whosoeuer asketh, receiueth:
is that darkenesse? 24 No man can serue two and he, that seeketh, findeth: and to him that
masters: for eyther he shall hate the one, and knocketh, it shall be opened. 9 For what man is
loue the other, or els he shall leane to the one, there among you, which if his sonne aske him
and despise the other. Ye cannot serue God and bread, woulde giue him a stone? 10 Or if he aske
riches. 25 Therefore I say vnto you, be not carefull fish, wil he giue him a serpent? 11 If ye then,
for your life, what ye shall eate, or what ye shall which are euill, can giue to your children good
drinke: nor yet for your body, what ye shall put giftes, howe much more shall your Father which
on. Is not the life more worth then meate? and is in heauen, giue good thinges to them that aske
the bodie then raiment? 26 Behold the foules of him? 12 Therefore whatsoeuer ye woulde that
the heauen: for they sowe not, neither reape, nor
carie into the barnes: yet your heauenly Father men should doe to you, euen so doe ye to them:
                                                                                                         13
feedeth them. Are ye not much better then they? for this is the Lawe and the Prophets. Enter
27 Which of you by taking care is able to adde in at the streight gate: for it is the wide gate,
and broade way that leadeth to destruction: and
one cubite vnto his stature? 28 And why care many there be which goe in thereat, 14 Because
ye for raiment? Learne howe the lilies of the the gate is streight, and the way narowe that
fielde doe growe: they are not wearied, neither leadeth vnto life, and fewe there be that finde
spinne: 29 Yet I say vnto you, that euen Salomon it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to

30 Wherefore if God so clothe the grasse of the rauening wolues. 16 Ye shall know them by their
fielde which is to day, and to morowe is cast into fruites. Doe men gather grapes of thornes? or
the ouen, shall he not doe much more vnto you, figges of thistles? 17 So euery good tree bringeth
O ye of litle faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, foorth good fruite, and a corrupt tree bringeth
saying, What shall we eate? or what shall we forth euill fruite. 18 A good tree can not bring
drinke? or where with shall we be clothed? forth euil fruite: neither can a corrupt tree bring
32 (For after all these things seeke the Gentiles) 19
for your heauenly Father knoweth, that ye haue forth good fruite. Euery tree that bringeth not
neede of all these things. 33 But seeke ye first the forth good fruite, is hewen downe, and cast into
                                                                           20
kingdome of God, and his righteousnesse, and all the fire. Therefore by their fruites ye shall
                                                                               21
these things shall be ministred vnto you. 34 Care knowe them. Not euery one that sayeth vnto
not then for the morowe: for the morowe shall me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdome of
care for it selfe: the day hath ynough with his heauen, but he that doeth my Fathers will which
owne griefe. is in heauen. 22 Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, haue we not by thy Name prophecied?
7 and by thy name cast out deuils? and by thy

what iudgement ye iudge, ye shall be iudged, and I professe to them, I neuer knewe you: depart
