            Then sayd he vnto them, Giue therefore to Cesar,
            the things which are Cesars, and giue vnto God,     1 Then spake Iesus to the multitude, and to his

            those things which are Gods.  22 And when they   disciples, Saying, The Scribes and the Pharises
            heard it, they marueiled, and left him, and went  sit in Moses seate.  3  All therefore whatsoeuer
                                                             they bid you obserue, that obserue and doe: but
            their way.  23  The same day the Sadduces came   after their workes doe not: for they say, and doe
            to him (which say that there is no resurrection)  not. For they binde heauie burdens, and grieu-

            and asked him,  24 Saying, Master, Moses sayd, If  ous to be borne, and lay them on mens shoulders,
            a man die, hauing no children, his brother shall  but they themselues will not moue them with
            marie his wife by the right of alliance, and raise  one of their fingers.  5 All their workes they doe
            vp seede vnto his brother.  25  Nowe there were  for to be seene of men: for they make their
            with vs seuen brethren, and the first maried a
            wife, and deceased: and hauing none yssue, left  phylacteries broad, and make long the frindges
            his wife vnto his brother.  26  Likewise also the  of their garments,  6  And loue the chiefe place
            second, and the third, vnto the seuenth.  27  And  at feastes, and to haue the chiefe seates in the

            last of all the woman died also.   28  Therefore  assemblies, And greetings in the markets, and
            in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.      8  But be not
            of the seuen? for all had her.    29  Then Iesus ye called, Rabbi: for one is your doctour, to wit,
            answered, and sayd vnto them, Ye are deceiued, Christ, and all ye are brethren.     9  And call no
            not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of man your father vpon the earth: for there is
            God.  30 For in the resurrection they neither marie but one, your father which is in heauen.  10  Be
            wiues, nor wiues are bestowed in mariage, but not called doctours: for one is your doctour,
            are as the Angels of God in heauen.      31  And euen Christ.   11  But he that is greatest among
            concerning the resurrection of the dead, haue you, let him be your seruant.     12  For whosoeuer
            ye not read what is spoken vuto you of God, will exalt himselfe, shall be brought lowe: and
            saying,  32  I am the God of Abraham, and the whosoeuer will humble himselfe, shalbe exalted.
            God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob? God is not   13 Wo therefore be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises,
            the God of the dead, but of the liuing.  33  And hypocrites, because ye shut vp the kingdome of
            when the multitude heard it, they were astonied heauen before men: for ye your selues go not
            at his doctrine.  34  But when the Pharises had in, neither suffer ye them that would enter, to
            heard, that he had put the Sadduces to silence,  come in.   14  Wo be vnto you, Scribes and Phar-
            they assembled together.   35  And one of them,  ises, hypocrites: for ye deuoure widowes houses,
            which was an expounder of the Lawe, asked him    euen vnder a colour of long prayers: wherefore
            a question, tempting him, and saying,  36  Master,  ye shall receiue the greater damnation.  15  Wo
            which is ye great commandement in the Lawe?      be vnto you, Scribes and Pharises, hypocrites:
            37 Iesus sayd to him, Thou shalt loue the Lord thy  for ye compasse sea and land to make one of
            God with all thine heart, with all thy soule, and  your profession: and when he is made, ye make
            with all thy minde.  38  This is the first and the  him two folde more the childe of hell, then you
            great commandement.    39 And the second is like  your selues.  16  Wo be vnto you blinde guides,
            vnto this, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy  which say, Whosoeuer sweareth by the Temple,
            selfe.  40 On these two commandements hangeth    it is nothing: but whosoeuer sweareth by the
            the whole Lawe, and the Prophets.      41  While  golde of the Temple, he offendeth.  17  Ye fooles
            the Pharises were gathered together, Iesus asked  and blinde, whether is greater, the golde, or
            them, 42 Saying, What thinke ye of Christ? whose  the Temple that sanctifieth the golde?   18  And
            sonne is he? They sayd vnto him, Dauids.  43 He  whosoeuer sweareth by the altar, it is nothing:
            sayd vnto them, How then doeth Dauid in spirit   but whosoeuer sweareth by the offering that

            call him Lord, saying, The Lord sayd to my Lord,  is vpon it, offendeth.  19  Ye fooles and blinde,
            Sit at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy  whether is greater, the offering, or the altar
            footestoole?  45 If then Dauid call him Lord, howe  which sanctifieth the offering?  20  Whosoeuer
            is he his sonne?  46  And none could answere him
            a worde, neither durst any from that day foorth  therefore sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it,
            aske him any moe questions.                      and by all things thereon.    21  And whosoeuer
