Hebrews 11:12                                   881                                  Hebrews 12:7

               was deliuered of a childe when she was past they were copassed about seue dayes.        31  By faith

               promised.  12 And therefore sprang there of one, obeyed not, when she had receiued the spies
               euen of one which was dead, so many as the peaceably.        32 And what shall I more say? for the
               starres of the skie in multitude, and as the land of time would be too short for me to tell of Gedeon,
               the sea shore which is innumerable.  13 All these of Barac, and of Sampson, and of Iephte, also of
               died in faith, and receiued not the promises,     Dauid, and Samuel, and of the Prophets:  33 Which
               but sawe them a farre off, and beleeued them,     through faith subdued kingdomes, wrought righ-
               and receiued them thankefully, and confessed      teousnesse, obteined the promises, stopped the
               that they were strangers and pilgrims on the      mouthes of lions, Quenchedthe violence of fire,

               earth.  14  For they that say such things, declare escaped the edge of the sworde, of weake were
               plainely, that they seeke a countrey.  15  And if made strong, waxed valiant in battell, turned to
               they had bene mindfull of that countrey, from flight the armies of the aliants.     35  The women
               whence they came out, they had leasure to haue receiued their dead raised to life: other also
               returned.  16  But nowe they desire a better, that were racked, and woulde not be deliuered, that
               is an heauenly: wherefore God is not ashamed of   they might receiue a better resurrection.  36 And
               them to be called their God: for he hath prepared  others haue bene tryed by mockings and scourg-
               for them a citie.  17  By faith Abraham offered   ings, yea, moreouer by bondes and prisonment.

               concerning things to come.     21  By faith Iacob  earth.  39  And these all through faith obteined
               when he was a dying, blessed both the sonnes      good report, and receiued not the promise, 40 God
               of Ioseph, and leaning on the ende of his staffe,  prouiding a better thing for vs, that they without
               worshipped God.  22 By faith Ioseph when he died,  vs should not be made perfite.
