Proctecta - Environmental Infection Control Program
Every year, pathogens cause hundreds of thousands of deaths around
the world. The job of healthcare workers is increasingly more
challenging as these pathogens are becoming more and more resistant
to disinfectants and traditional cleaning.
Sodexo has piloted a new approach to environmental infection control.
Our participating hospitals come form a diverse community of
healthcare sites, with small and large patient populations and varying
levels of care. Proctecta pilot hospitals experienced 53% C.diff and 70%
MRSA reduction in infection rates per 1,000 patient days.
