MIL currently has several exciting career tracks available in SoMD. The Naval
Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, known locally as “Pax River” or simply “PAX,”
continues to be the key driving force in local job growth. According to the
St. Mary’s County Data Center, SoMD labor forces have grown 18.9%, and
are expected to grow to 119,340 by 2030. In the last decade, the median
household income in the area grew 28.2% (the tri-county area ranks in the
top 10 counties in Maryland for median household income). Additionally, St.
Mary’s County boasts the 14th highest median income in the United States.
Because of MIL’s unprecedented work expansion at PAX, we’re looking to hire
new staff at all levels—from eager recent grads and seasoned professionals
to experienced military vets and retired former civil personnel. If you have the
