Filipe joined Illovo as Country Head for Maragra Mozambique on the 1st November 2017. Prior to taking up this role Filipe
held the position of General Manager of Distribuidora Nacional de Acucar (DNA) since 2013, having held several senior functions at DNA before that.

Filipe possesses extensive and seasoned business experience in the Mozambique commercial and marketing domain where
he has served in various senior leadership positions for ED&F Man and Companha de Sena S.A.R.L (Sena Sugar). Prior to returning to Mozambique in 1999, Filipe lived and worked in South Africa, Portugal and Spain in a variety of industries. Filipe holds a BBA (Marketing Management) degree and has
a broad scope of multinational insights and experience.
