Disclaimer: School policies, procedures, and/or rules published in this handbook are subject to change as may be needed to ensure compliance with federal, state or local regulations. Not all the policies, procedures, and/or rules can be written and inserted in a handbook. However, students are expected to follow all written school rules, and all other rules of common sense, that are necessary for the routine operation of the school and are in effect at all school activities, on or off school property, during or outside of the scheduled school day, 24 hours a day.
Furthermore, this code of conduct is in effect while students are under the authority of school personnel or involved in any school activity. This includes but is not limited to school buses and property under the control of school authorities, and while at interscholastic competitions, extracurricular events, or other school activities or programs.
In addition, this Code of Conduct includes:
1) misconduct by a student that occurs off school district property but is
connected to activities or incidents that have occurred on school
district property; and
2) misconduct by a student that, regardless of where it occurs, is directed
at a district official or employee or the property of an official or employee.
This handbook replaces all prior handbooks and other prior written material provided on the same subjects. This handbook does not equate to an irrevocable contractual commitment to the student, but only reflects the current status of the Board’s policies and the School’s rule. If any of the policies or administrative guidelines referenced herein are revised, the
