Kennedy Hilario, M.B.A. MA Board
Member. Mr. Hilario is a Harvard
educated MBA with a background in
both business and education. He is the
Associate Chief Executive Officer of
Schools for Community Day Charter
Public School. He is responsible for
creating a network of three schools that

provide a rigorous academic experience for early Kindergarten -
Grade 8 students in Lawrence. He is also involved in the manage-
ment of the one of the elementary turn-around schools in
Lawrence. His goal is to replicate programs and best practices
from its current charters which has a track record of providing an
effective curriculum and has a school culture with high

expectations for student achievement. CCDPS is one of few schools
nationwide to have closed the achievement gap for its second
language population. Kennedy has B.S. in chemical engineering,
a B.S. in psychology, a Masters in Business Administration from
Harvard Business School, and a Masters in education. Mr. Hilario
was the Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Charter High
School, and recently the Managing Director at the Home Office for
PUC Schools in California, and was responsible for driving the
organization’s business operations. Prior to that, Mr. Hilario
worked 14 years in the for-profit sector. First he worked as a
Technical Sales Representative for Exxon/Mobil; then as a general
management Consultant for Booz Allen & Hamilton; and finally as
a Regional Business Analyst for Monsanto.
