Montgomery’s Sunday Best
A Gospel Explosion
Fundraising Committee
Sorors, it is April 2018, and WE decided, almost a year ago, to
step out on faith and create an innovative approach to fund-
raising. That approach is Montgomery’s Sunday Best: A Gospel
Explosion. THANK YOU to each of you who have stepped up to
become a part of this approach!
Montgomery’s Sunday Best: A Gospel Explosion will be presented
on Sunday, April 29 at 4:00 pm at True Divine Baptist Church
4601 Troy Highway. Doors open at 3:00 pm. The legendary award gospel winning
artist, Miss Dottie Peoples, is the featured artist. The Alabama Boys, a local gospel
singing group of men, will also be performing. Gospel artist Soror Bonita Moore of At-
lanta, Georgia will move our soul with her soulful renditions of old gold gospel songs.
T. Clifford Petty of the Resurrection Catholic Church will sing and play. Resurrection
Catholic Church’s young Praise Dancers will also perform, and the Alabama State Uni-
versity Dance Company, the only accredited minority dance program in the state, will
present a liturgical piece choreographed specially for this inaugural gospel
show. Gospel Messenger Angier Stewart Johnson of WVAS will serve as the emcee. Our
chapter awards will be presented during the show.
Be sure to get your tickets from the Financial Secretary
at the dates and times identified in MAC Memos. Tickets
are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the show. All
