2021

Dear Seniors,

You are finishing your last year of Butler Hockey. As a graduating
athlete in 2021, you have faced unbelievable challenges. Through it
all, you have held your head high, persevered, and worked hard to
excel on and off the ice.

We are SO proud of you! You’ve overcome so much adversity that has
crossed your path this year. We know you will come out stronger from
it as you prepare for your future.

You are kindhearted, fun loving, generous, selfless, and overall GOOD
young adults. Each of you has inspired us to work harder to be better.

Hockey has taught you many things. Carry these lessons with you into
adulthood:
1. Be a good teammate.
2. Be a part of something bigger than yourself.
3. There is always something to learn in disappointments.
4. When the world hands you lemons – play hockey!
Life will not always be fair. There will not always be victories just
because you put in the effort. But you have learned discipline, courage,
toughness, teamwork, and communication. This is the “hockey sense”
you can take with you into the real world.
There might be times when you want to quit, but when you do -
remember. Remember the principles you learned and the effort it took
to gain discipline, self-sacrifice, and perseverance.

Soon, you will take off your jersey and untie your skates for the last
time as a Butler Hockey player. Butler Hockey will not be the same
without you.
