bright, and so much fun. I remember her love for Grant Lee Buffalo and
Conan O'Brien in high school. Even then, you just knew she had so Thomas Leach
much spunk and talent. Sure enough, her Conan website is still
available: http://www.gigglebounce.com/conan/! When we last spoke a Joe Stefaniak 3h
year or two she was trying to track down one of our other high school
friends for a reunion so we could relive some of those silly, fun times.
She was always very thoughtful like that. She will be missed by a great Dan Falls

Hilary and I managed to create enough computer mischief when she
was finishing middle school that we found ourselves drawing eight
business cards using colored pencils while everyone else used a word

Shane Watson Craig, first of all, I am so sorry for your family's loss. I
found out the day it happened through a mutual friend but am still
having a difficult time absorbing the reality of it.
Hilary and I met ages ago (1998? 1999? 2000?) online via the Grant
Lee Buffalo fan community. Initially that's what our conversations
centered around, but the topics soon expanded after we found out we
had a similar (odd) sense of humor. Once I saw her website, I knew
she'd appreciate a lot of the same quirky stuff I found amusing.
I had Grant Lee Phillips out here in Phoenix for a private acoustic show
back in the summer of 2014 and invited her to attend. Unfortunately,
she wasn't able to make it out for the concert, but seemed to really
appreciate the invite.
We had a lot of conversations over the years, many of them
lighthearted, but occasionally we discussed more serious topics. After I
found out what happened, I went back and looked through our last
couple years of discussions via private messages on Facebook. Wow,
did we ever talk about all kinds of stuff. I'm grateful that she knew she
could vent to me when she was dealing with something.
What I appreciated most was her sense of humor. There were certain
things I'd see and I'd instantly think, "I have to show this to Hilary." I've
still been doing that lately, and it's a difficult realization that I can't share
those things with her now. I still see stuff that she'd probably be the
only person I know (other than myself) to appreciate and/or laugh at.
She had some music memorabilia-type items that she knew I'd
probably appreciate more than anyone else. She was not only kind
enough to send them to me, but paid the postage to ship out a massive
box of stuff. Much of what she gave me has been on display in the
entryway of my house since it arrived here. She even sent a few items
for my four-year-old daughter, including a couple things that my
daughter loves and uses all the time.
The reality of this still hasn't fully sunk in and probably won't for some
time.
