The lines and numbers may not make any sense at first, but according to William C. at
Themetapicture.com: "The lines over the circles are colour coded. Notice the single red Adam Riley
line and 3 blue lines representing "13" groups together while the single green and 2 black
lines take their own group. Simply draw your first group of lines in one direction then your Alan Reyes
second group of lines going over the first, count the groups of intersections and there's
your answer."

Amy Nott I know, because it is not part of the NEW YORK STATE
MANDATED CURRICULUM. But Jesus Christ, this is amazing!! I've
been sitting here trying it out on a whole bunch of examples (mainly
because I don't want to do the dishes) and I can't believe it totally
works!!! I wonder if it works for 3-digit multiplication too? Why the hell
don't we teach kids this, it's FANTABULOUS!
