Naturalistically carved in openwork as a branch with intertwining
leaves, the head formed as a pomegranate with bursting seeds and a
large peach, the shaft with the finger citron, the terminal with a fabric
tassel.

A GREEN AND GREY MOTTLED JADE CARVING OF SHOULAO
AND A CHICKEN-BONE JADE CARVING OF A FISH
The God of Longevity carved with a benevolent expression and
stroking his long beard, standing and holding his staff, suspending a
double gourd flask, the semi-translucent stone of a greyish-white tone
with mottled white inclusions and traces of calcification, wood stand;
together with a ‘chicken bone’ jade carving of a fish.
Shoulao: 14cm (5 1/2in) high (2).
