The crane bird appears again in this dramatic

The bird stands upon an extremely unusual
decorative feature for any piece of Chinese
silver, a decorative detail that did not appear in
the previously illustrated crane bird tazza. An
orb supported by inverted scroll feet is an
unusual decorative feature in Chinese Export
Silver.

The main central trumpet vase has an equally
exceptional and unusual treatment to the rim
with the use of loved petals with a meander
border beneath.
