mSmall Amphora or Vase, elegant form, of the finest white ("Ts'ing-yao")

     porcelam.
    TTus vase is invested with a brilliant and deep peach-colored glaze (" couleur-de-
peche"), solidly and evenly covering the body and the interior of neck, its delicate mottling
mutating the ripened shadings on the skin of a p)each ; the form and texture combined make
one of the most prized objects eimong the rare and beautiful peach-bloom class.
    Tlie underneath foot has a fine edge and bears in blue, under glaze, the six char-
acters, Ta-ming, K'ang-hsi, Nien-chi (1662-1722).
    Height, 6 inches.
