A spinach-green jade archaistic
pouring vessel, guang
The globular body carved with taotie masks
and set with flanges, flanked to one side with
a handle with beast mask terminal, the lid
similarly decorated and with a zoomorphic
spout formed as a monster face with horns,
apocryphal Qianlong fangu six-character
incised mark to base.

A pale green jade ‘double
lozenge’ shaped brushwasher
20th century
Set on angular feet, carved in relief to the
exterior with panels of archaistic dragons, the
centre flanked by openwork bat and loose
ring handles, each end carved with scrolling
lingzhi terminals, the stone softly polished and
with areas of russet veining.
22.2cm (8.3/4in) long.
