A RARE GILT-BRONZE AND CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL FIGURE OF
AMITAYUS
18th century
Seated in dhyanasana, the flowing dhoti inlaid with coral red cloisonné
enamels finely detailed with lotus blooms and scrolling tendrils, tied at
the waist by a turquoise belt, adorned with various necklaces, armlets
and bracelets inset with hard stones, the face with elongated eyes
flanked by flowing ribbons surmounted by a jewelled tiara, the hair tied
into a high chignon.
