          The deep, globular body is raised on three tall legs surmounted by stylized   EXHIBITED

          masks divided by a fange. The sides are fat-cast with bands of interlocking
                                                              Hong Kong, 1992, no. 2.
          snake motifs, the upper band interrupted by a pair of upright handles also cast
          with scrolls. The domed cover is similarly decorated and applied with four

          recumbent bovines below an openwork knob formed by six vertical straps cast   Singapore, Tsui Art Foundation and Empress Place Museum,
          in the shape of birds biting and grasping an outer ring border. The vessel and   Gems of Chinese Art: Selections of Ceramics and Bronzes, 1992.
          cover have a milky green patina and azurite encrustation on the interior.
