Each ftting is of typical cylindrical form with high curved tops. One ftting is of a yellowish-green tone
with russet inclusions and the other is of an opaque creamy tone with some darker fecks and has two
small holes to the sides.

AN ARCHAIC MOTTLED BLACK AND RUSSET JADE POMMEL
WARRING STATES PERIOD (475-221 BC)

戰國 玉榖紋劍首

The top of the pommel is carved with a raised circular centre decorated with a stylised scrolling
design. The underside is pierced with two apertures. The opaque stone is of a mottled black and
russet tone with tiny fecks of red.
