A RARE SMALL MOULDED ‘PHOENIX’ DING DISH
JIN DYNASTY (1115-1234)
金 定窯雙鳳紋盤
The shallow dish is delicately moulded on the interior with two phoenix amongst fowers and lotus. The
cavetto is designed with a band of chrysanthemum petals rising to a metal-bound rim. It is covered in an
even glaze of ivory tone.
