A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE ‘SOLDIER’ VASES

清雍正/乾隆早期 粉彩描金花卉紋大花瓶一對
The vases are each delicately enamelled and gilt with an exotic long-tailed bird perched on rocks. Two
kingfshers, one perched on a branch and one in fight are beside tree peonies in a garden setting. There is
a band of turquoise-ground foral ruyi-shaped lappets around the shoulder and blue-ground foral bands at
the neck and around the foot.
