COVER
Qing Dynasty
The rounded, lobed body decorated with
four shaped cartouches depicting peonies,
lilies, bamboo, fruiting peach trees and
lingzhi amongst rockwork, the cover with
split overhead hinged handle, reticulated with
archaic style vessels on a swastika ground,
726 within a scrolling foliate border.

HANDWARMER
19th century
The hand warmer of oval section, worked
to the exterior with The Eight Horses of
Muwang, with a reticulated lid with a shou
symbol and an overhead swing handle;
the rectangular cover with an extensive
calligraphic inscription in miniature, the
interior lid with an ink stone.
The handwarmer: 13.5cm (5 1/4in) wide (4).

The rectangular warmer finely engraved to
the exterior with four cartouches enclosing
landscape scenes and fruits, reserved on
an intricate foliate ground, with an overhead
swing handle, the reticulated lid with further
foliate designs. 17cm (6 3/4in) wide (2).
