A MATCHED PAIR OF GILT-DECORATED
POWDER-BLUE PLAQUES
18th/19th century
The first rectangular plaque finely painted in
gilt with two deer grazing beneath an ancient
pine tree, with two monkeys perched in the
branches above, with two further birds in
flight all reserved on a deep blue coloured
glaze; the second similarly decorated but
with fishermen on sampans, rose wood
frames.
Each: 38cm (15in) high (2).

POWDER-BLUE BALUSTER VASES
18th century
The first with a hexagonal body finely painted
in gilt with a court building, with an extensive
calligraphic inscription to the other faces,
the waisted neck flanked with stylised lingzhi
handles; the second similarly decorated but
with figural scenes to both sides.
The largest: 55.5cm (21 3/4in) high (2).
