                                                             Jingdezhen seal marks, Republic Period
                                                             The first finely enamelled with sixteen cranes amongst rockwork and
                                                             blossoming peony, the second with a group of magpies amongst
                                                             peonies and blossoming prunus, all between bands of intricate
                                                             grisaille diaper, swags and foliate motifs at the foot, shoulder and
                                                             neck, with short inscriptions and red seals to the reverse. Each:
                                                             14cm (5 1/2in) high. (2).

           The globular body finely enamelled with circular roundels enclosing
           landscape scenes, reserved on a densely scrolling lotus flower head
           meander with bats, below bands of ruyi-heads, foliate borders and
           leaf lappets, the waisted neck with further floral meanders. 40cm (15

                                                             others approaching carrying scrolls, in a garden setting, the neck
                                                             with lotus and scrolling leafy fruit sprays on a puce-coloured ground.

           mark, Republic Period
           The first vase with a wide flaring neck, each side with a roundel
           enclosing floral sprays, reserved on a continuous wan diaper ground;
           the jar with two roundels with blossoming flowers, reserved on a floral
           incised ruby enamel ground. The largest: 20cm (7 7/8in) high (2).
