                   The Chinese portraits by Youqua and others of this sitter, the powerful and charismatic Viceroy of Canton, appear to derive from
                   portraits of Yeh taken by Major Crealock and Emile Roux. The Crealock portrait reportedly sketched from life in Canton on the day
                   Yeh was captured, when the British took Canton in 1858.
