                   China to Manila, P.I. Dec. 17-20, 1915. 61° roll. Ship narrowly escaped capsizing.

                   U.S.S. Wilmington was laid down at Newport News, Virginia in 1895 and commissioned in May 1897. The gunboat served with the
                   American Asiatic Squadron from 1901 to 1922.
