A LARGE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ‘NARRATIVE SCENE’ BASIN
Late Ming Dynasty
The bottom of the interior intricately enamelled depicting a Daoist
paradise scene of standing figures in civil dress with two female
seated in a palace, all picked out in white, blue, green and yellow
enamels, the cavetto encircled with the bamboo shoots, pine tree
and prunus flowers reserved on a white ground, the everted rim
flange decorated with key-fret, chrysanthemum and cloud bands,
the undersides decorated.
