A bronze model of a bird catcher
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
Cast as a bird catcher dressed in a loose robe decorated in floral
designs with a large basket on his hip, a large straw hat on his head,
a bird alighted on the end of his long pole, signed Miyao, on a fitted
wood base decorated with scrolling vines in hiramaki-e

Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th century
The baluster vase decorated in high relief with patinated bronze and
colored-stone inlays with a caparisoned elephant, a tethered hawk
on a perch, a vase with iris decoration, an incense burner, a suiban
(vessle for flower arrangements), and a Chinese-style vase, signed on
the underside Seiya saku
