Each box elaborately lacquered en suitein
gold, silver, black takamaki-e, hiramaki-e and
inlaid mother-of-pearl with flying butterflies
and spider web on a fine nashiji ground, the
interiors of the writing box designed with
wisteria and bamboo and stationery box with
spider web, the writing box fitted with a slate
inkstone, one brush, and with a rectangular
water dropper with gilt details
