For a jade 'mandarin duck' group attributed to the late Ming dynasty, carved in a similar manner and also grasping lotuses in the
beaks, see one from the collection of Joseph E. Hotung, exhibited in Chinese Jade Carving, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong,
1983, cat. no. 189. Another jade waterdropper in the form of a standing mandarin duck, attributed to the 17th century, is illustrated
in Chinese Jade, Spink & Son, London, 1991, cat. no. 150.
