A FINE AND RARE WHITE AND RUSSET JADE 'QILIN' PENDANT
QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD
清乾隆 白玉雕滄海麒麟紋珮

the rectangular plaque pierced with a central circular aperture, carved to the top with a robust recumbent qilin with hoofed hind
legs tucked underneath the muscular body, its long bushy tail extending down one side to meet the crest of the rolling waves
below, the pure white stone with some russet veining
