A YELLOW JADE CARVING OF A MYTHICAL BEAST
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The recumbent single-horned beast is carved with its head turned to one side,
ears pricked, and tail ficked over its haunches. The stone is of a yellowish-
green tone with some paler inclusions.
