A FINE HONGMU RECTANGULAR ‘PRUNUS’ TABLE
19th century
The tightly-grained top panel set within a rectangular frame above a
short narrow waist exquisitely carved with a key-fret border above
stylised curling leaves and a wide apron intricately carved and pierced
as gnarled prunus branches, supported on four legs of square section
similarly carved as intertwining gnarled prunus branches laden with
flowering blooms and opening buds.
