path behind them; the roofs of Yase village are just visible over the A ferry boat laden with passengers and luggage crosses the Yodo
crest of the hill. River; a major route between Kyoto and Osaka. A smaller boat
has pulled up alongside to serve food and drink and a cuckoo flies
across the moon.
