Finely carved with a sinuous writhing dragon amongst lotus blooms, a 17th/18th century
bird and auspicious bat on a dense scrolling foliate ground, later wood The pale, even stone finely carved in reticulation as a large magnolia
stand. 16.5cm (6.1/2in) long. (2). blossom issuing from a leafy stem entwined with gnarled branches
of fruiting melon and lingzhi, each finely carved, the hardwood stand

17th/18th century A WHITE AND MUSHROOM JADE ‘LINGZHI, LOTUS AND
Carved to simulate a length of fabric tied around the centre of the jade, PRUNUS’ RETICULATED CUP
with a bat in flight above, the pale green stone with creamy russet Ming Dynasty
inclusions. 8.5cm (3.3/8in) long. Carved from a translucent white stone with suffused mushroom
inclusions, the cup with openwork handles in the form of oversized
