The sturdily potted vessel painted on the lower Decorated with a confronting dragon and in copper pigment with bird-and-flower
body with a charming scene of boys playing as phoenix in a fenced garden with bamboo, cartouches amidst wan brocade and scaly
warriors astride wheeled toy horses in a fenced flowering plants and pierced rockwork. 12cm pattern bands above a continuous scene of
terrace, the slender upper section with craggy (4.3/4in) wide. birds alighting above flowering peonies, the
cliffs issuing from tumultuous waves, mounted interior with a wide scrolling floral band on
as a lamp around the mouth and foot. Including £1,000 - 1,500 hatched pattern, the pigment fired a deep red
mount: 42cm (16 1/2in) high CNY8,800 - 13,000 and acidic green, all on a creamy crackled
HK$9,700 - 15,000 glaze. 35cm (13 3/4in) diam.
