In Imitation of Li Gonglin
Donald Black was a renowned Jockey Dated 1826
champion in Hong Kong in the mid-20th 玉壺山人 改琦 ‘Yuhu shanren’ Gai Qi
century. He moved to Hong Kong after the (1774–1829)
Second World War, following his service
in the British Navy, stationed off India. As
an accountant he was a partner with Peat,
Marwick, Mitchell & Co, until his retirement in
1962, when he returned to Great Britain.
