WHY YOU SHOULD BE LICENCED

                                                           By Terry Cole, Malvern Irrigation

It is greatly unknown across the industry that

you actually require a Plumbing Irrigation
License to install and design irrigation systems

                                                            up to the last valve.

Lets look at why it is important to have it and

how you go about applying for it.

“The Gator system can wireless control your solenoid valves from

                                                 multiple locations”

I have been licensed as an Irrigation Plumber for nearly 20 years. Back when I begun it was quite easy
and common to get your license. From what we have found over the last 10 or so years is that it has been
quite difficult to apply or even find out how to get your license.
Now the license falls under the VBA it is quite easy to apply through their website (link on the VBA logo)

I believe it is important for any professional installing or
designing irrigation to become licensed. As more and
more contractors obtain their license this will become the

normal across the industry and clients will be looking for

contractors with these licenses for their jobs. At the end of
the day it will clean up the industry and separate the quali-
                                                         ty contractors from the cowboys.
