Phil Stoll found his place in the livestock advertising
world very early in life. He joined the staff of the
Weekly Livestock Reporter in 1976 and today is the
 general manager and owner.
Stoll’s first role with the Fort Worth, TX based publication
was that of field representative. He soon became
the leader of the sales team and under his guidance,
the paper grew from a mom and pop publication
to a regionally recognized publication. He became
general manager in 1994 and inherited the Weekly
Livestock Reporter from owner Rosemary Gouldy in
 December of 2002.
Phil was raised in southwest Oklahoma and was 1974
graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU), where
he was a member of the livestock judging team. He
was introduced to the purebred cattle marketing
world in 1971, while at OSU by Ken Holloway,
American Cattle Services. Stoll would be one of the
first part-time brush hands for Holloway that would
later impact the beef industry. Prior to joining the
Weekly Livestock Reporter, he was a field man for
the Charolais Banner in the southeast.
He and wife, Sandra reside in Springtown, Texas
at their ranch, named Bull Central and they re-
merchandise 100 to 150 bulls a year. Stoll also has
a trucking business and operates Highway Guardrail
Co, that sells used highway guard rails to ranches
 and feedlots for corrals.
He is also the chairman of the Fort Worth Livestock
Exposition Commercial Female Sale and oversees
the group’s scholarship program to young people
involved in agriculture. He has also received the OSU
Animal Science Graduate of Distinction honor.
