2017 CONVENTION SPEAKERS

TRISHA BRAUER
Trisha Brauer has made a big impact in the auction profession in a short time. This smart capable young auctioneer is on the
way to the top of the auction world. Her Auctioneer Business Plan Instruction teaches students to have success with knowing
where they are, where they want to be and how to get there. Trisha holds a Bachelors degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa and also earned a Masters degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales. She is a graduate
of World Wide College of Auctioneering and is a member of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), as well as the state
associations for Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Currently, Trisha is on the Board of Directors for the state of Iowa. She is an active
member of the NAA and has served on committees and has published material in their industry publication

WALT CADE
Walt reached world fame as the Cowboy auctioneer on A&E’s hit Show Storage Wars: Texas, serving for 3 years as the auctioneer,
which aired in 27 countries and in 15 different languages. Walt Cade is a Graduate of the Prestigous Texas Auction Academyin
2009, under the direction of International Champion and Highly respected Mike Jones. In 2014 Walt earned the Designation
of BAS from the NAA Education Academy. In 2015 Walt earned the Designation of ATS from the NAA Education Academy, and is
Currently a candidate for the CES, Once again from the NAA Education Academy. Retired from a very lucrative Tax and Accounting
Practice, specializing in Tax Law, and Certified Financial Planner with Stock Broker’s License. The Business is still successful under
the new ownership of his youngest son. Col Walt retired seeking a more simplier lifestyle.
LLOYD COOPER
Lloyd is Benefit Bidding’s lead auctioneer. After his graduation from Missouri Auction School in 1990, he founded Lloyd Cooper
Auctioneers. He is an active member of the Texas Auctioneers Association (TAA), National Auctioneers Association (NAA), graduate
of the Professional Ringman Institute, graduate of the NAA Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) program and holds the CAI
designation from the NAA. Lloyd previously served on the Board of Directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – Northeast Texas
Chapter. He served in the U.S. Navy and attended Washburn University. In his free time, Lloyd is an amateur vintner and owns a
private vineyard. He has dabbled as a brewmeister and received a national award for his American Pale Ale. Lloyd enjoys golfing
and sporting clays, skeet, and trap.
DONNA FOSTER
Partner, Landmark Auction Services, Ennis, Tx. Donna holds a Bachelors degree in business from the University of North Texas.
She is a 2008 graduate of the Texas Auction Academy, as well as, a member of the Texas Auctioneers Association.

TJ FRIEJIE

Richard “TJ” Freije, CAI, the 2016 International Auctioneers Champion (IAC), is a third-generation auctioneer with two
decades of experience and the president of Freije & Freije Auctioneers & Marketing LLC, based in Clayton, IN. He and
his auctioneers manage and staff over 500 auctions per year. Freije specializes in automobile auctions (both wholesale
and classic), motorsports, real estate and specialty auctions as well as benefits and charity galas. In addition to the
2016 IAC, Freije is the 2005 Indiana Auctioneer Champion and the 2014 World Automobile Auctioneer Team Champion.

LARRY HARB
Mr. Harb has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industries. He holds a Masters of Management
degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University.
He co-authored the book Reinventing the Retail Bank published in 1994. He is a certified Identity Theft Risk Management
Specialist. He resides in Michigan and is the Founder and CEO of IT Risk Managers, Inc. and the creator of the Auctioneer
Insurance Program. He is a licensed Auctioneer and NAA member. He is also an instructor of Auctioneer Risk Management at
the Kentucky Auction Academy, the Western School of Auctioneering and the North Georgia School of Auctioneering. IT Risk
Managers, provides risk management solutions for internet & technology businesses, as well as licensed in 48 states for property
& casualty insurance products.
MARTY HILL
Full-Time Ringman for Kruse Energy Auctioneers and Recognized as one of the Top 2 Energy & Collector Car Ringman in the
World. Marty, working along side Kenny Garman, results in the oilfield auction industry’s Best 1-2 punch for ring work. Marty
attended the University of Oklahoma and has an Associates Degree in Science from Coffeyville Community College
