           We use comparative adjectives when we compare two things, animals or people.
           We often use the word than when we compare two things.Than often comes after the comparative
           adjective.

            Short adjective                          add -er                        long - longer      slow - slower

                                                     delete -y
            Short adjective ending in y                                             happy - happier         funny - funnier
                                                     add -ier
                                                                                    beautiful- more beautiful
            Long adjective                           use more + adjective
                                                                                    exciting - more exciting
            Short words ending vowel +               double the consonant           big - bigger       hot -hotter
            consonant                                and add -er

            Short adjectives ending -e               add -r                         nice -nicer       white -whiter

          There are a few irregular adjectives.
          good- better       bad- worse
